About Us

Rod M. Parker is the owner and general manager of B & R Custom Remodeling, Inc.. He founded this company 15 years ago. Rod first started in this business doing clean-up jobs for his dad. After graduating from being dad's "trash boy", he started working with the in-house carpentry, paint and concrete crews. They did room additions and all types of interior and exterior remodeling projects. He worked after school and on weekends throughout his high school years. After high school Rod went into business with his father, completing numerous projects around the North Dallas area. In 1991, Rod was 24 years old and decided to start his own company, B & R Custom Remodeling, Inc.. He had some knowledge and a whole lot of ambition. He lived in a one bedroom apartment and drove an old Ford truck and owned a few tools. B & R Custom Remodeling, Inc. now has a full time, twelve man, in house crew that works 40 to 60 hours a week. "These guys are true craftsmen!"

Rod is very proud of his staff and the group of individuals he has assembled. He takes a "hands on" approach in handling all of the bidding, selling, architectural and interior design. Rod also oversees all of the business and marketing aspects of the company. He is a hands on owner that works along with the staff to complete all projects. Over the last fifteen years, B & R has completed hundreds of projects around the North Dallas area. Their goal is to maintain a high standard of integrity, quality and excellence. Their specialties include room additions, patio enclosures, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, ceramic tile flooring, concrete sidewalks and driveways, replacement doors and windows and Hardie Siding. B & R also has excellent siding and roofing crews.

B & R's only form of advertising for the first ten years was a weekly ad in the Dallas Morning News. It was published every Wednesday in the Shopping North Dallas section. That weekly ad coupled with their new billboard ad on George Bush freeway (190) and a great referral base and a 5 star rating in the Underground Shopper has attributed to their success. Most of B & R's customers have seen and read their ads for the last 15 years. When Rod meets with potential customers, they are presented with a picture book of jobs completed by B & R Custom Remodeling, Inc.. He also leaves a reference list that pertains to the type of remodeling that the customer is inquiring about. The customers on these reference lists openly invite the callers to come and look at the work that B & R has performed for them. B & R is very proud that it's customers also remain their friends after the job is complete.
